about me
I am Greta—a childbirth educator and birth doula in San Marcos, TX, where I live with my husband and two sons. I am also taking steady steps toward becoming a licensed midwife, as serving women in pregnancy and birth is the clearest calling I feel.
I have always been a seeker—of meaning, of truth, of my own inner compass.
And a traveler—across continents and into the landscapes of the human mind and nervous system.
This path led me to five years of university studies in psychology, along with years of yoga, meditation, and personal growth practices that continued long after formal education ended.
I traveled to more than 20 countries, lived in diverse climates and cultures, and learned multiple languages.

Over time, these experiences revealed something simple and powerful: what we need most already lives within us.
In birth, this truth becomes tangible—when a woman feels safe, supported, and respected, her body remembers what to do.
One lucky fall, I served as a Spanish–Lithuanian interpreter for a training with indigenous Mexican midwife Angelina Martinez Miranda and it changed everything. It awakened in me a lasting devotion to pregnancy, birth, and babies.
I continued my education through APPPAH (the Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health), began master’s-level studies in Perinatal Psychology and Psychopathology at the University of Valencia in Spain, learned from traditional midwives, trained as a Birth Warrior Doula with Indie Birth, and became a midwife assistant.
Today, my background in psychology and perinatal mental health deeply shapes the way I support families as a doula in San Marcos and the surrounding Central Texas area.
I offer trauma-informed, emotionally attuned birth support that honors the nervous system, personal history, and the profound sensitivity of pregnancy and labor. I believe that feeling safe, seen, and respected is not a luxury in birth care—it is the foundation that allows physiological birth to unfold.
Some of my greatest teachers have been the women and families I have supported—and my two sons, both born peacefully at home six years apart.
I carry deep gratitude for the first seed planted long before I knew this would be my path. At 17, I watched a short film about Lithuanian midwife Jurga Švedienė titled Mild Witchcraft. She kept midwifery alive in Lithuania (the country I was born in) at a time when practicing it was considered a crime.
Birth workers are among the most devoted people I know.
I am deeply honored each time a family invites me to walk alongside them through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
If you are looking for a birth doula in San Marcos, TX, or surrounding areas including Kyle, New Braunfels, Wimberley, and Hays County, I would love to connect.
