Village Prenatal: Pregnancy Support & Community in San Marcos, TX

Offered by the Little Village and doula Greta Nakliudaite-Perez

It's a recurring gathering/community space for pregnancy, where people can ask questions, talk honestly, learn from each other, and prepare for birth and postpartum. While there are some educational elements to it, it is intentionally a gathering more than a class (if you'd like to hear about upcoming childbirth education classes, please reach out at wombcentered@gmail.com)

They are facilitated by a doula and beginning student midwife Greta Nakliudaite-Perez and are designed to complement, not replace, clinical prenatal care.

This is the village around your prenatal care.

What is a Village Prenatal?

PREGNANCY WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE A SOLO PROJECT...

Modern pregnancy can be strangely isolating: appointments are often short, information is everywhere, but there aren't necessarily many places to sit with other pregnant people and actually talk.

Village Prenatals provide the relational, emotional, and educational layer of pregnancy that many people miss in standard prenatal care.

They are offered as ongoing, open gatherings. Participants are welcome to join at any point in pregnancy and may attend one session or return regularly.

Topics we might explore:

Support Systems in Pregnancy and Beyond

Nutrition and Nourishment

Physiological Birth + Birth Hormones
